 This is the most country I have gotten here. You can't see it, but
there are two giant apartment buildings behind me. That is how most of
Japan is; the rice fields, and super tight packed living space, with
bamboo-covered hills around everything.

Apartment? 

 As far as I know, there is only one non-apartment missionary housing in the whole Mission, and that is in Fukuoka city. We live in a fairly big apartment.

There is a very large Buddhist temple here that is somewhat famous. We met a man on Friday ( when I was on splits with my zone leader Elder Moe who was my MTC companion see above picture) who was a monkey trainer. He had three monkeys in his truck that he apparently trained to preform for money at that temple. Cool right! 

Lifestyle? 

They are just like any other $BF|K\?M (B they work hard, take their duty serious, are wonderfully kind, and considerate. They eat rice and sleep on futons on the floor, take their shoes off at the door, will often give you an umbrella if you don't have one, and are generally just good. And they always dress nice!

This week one thing that has helped me is saying what I am grateful for in my prayers. It seems to help so much! It is something so simple but it helps a lot to strengthen my faith and helps me to go forward. How good it is that we can be grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ! How wonderful it is that we know his gospel! Even when I have 1000 things to do, I can pray and give thanks and feel the spirit again in my life help me to focus on what is most important. I am so grateful that Jesus Christ bore my sins and felt my pain, and I am so grateful that He loves me. He will guide me in all the things I need to do. I love him.
