Dear Nate,
Mrs. White is still helping at the school, but she doesn't teach anymore.  She is my old teacher's mom!  Thanks for writing to me!  Was that my name in Japanese?  The picture you sent last time of the food looked amazing!  The second picture of you was beautiful!  Where were you?  What were you standing on?  I've been having dreams that you are coming home.  In one of them, we went to Japan!  We have a new PE teacher.  She is really nice.  One of my favorite things to do in school is play tether ball.  Kess got a new one last Christmas.  We have been practicing a lot.  She is in middle school so we can't walk together anymore.  It's been a rough move!  But I think that tetherball has helped her because she can beat almost anyone in the 5th grade!  I love you!  P.S. Enjoy your mission while you can!

Love,  Abigail  Bevan

New Missionary

Elder Burgner is here! He is from good old Rexburg Idaho! We have seen tons of cool things so far! I will send some pictures.
i wrote a really long probably boring letter to Dad so I don't have any time but,

I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful that we are able to participate in His work. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and that the Book of Mormon is true, and the gospel it teaches is the way to eternal life. The leaders of this church are true judges in Israel, and they hold the keys that they claim.
Well, shoot besides that, I don't know what to say.

Busy, Mrs. Silkwood

This week i don't have a lot of time... Sorry!!!
So here are some cool updates on my life:
I have been working on improving my exercise schedule lately and have
been super sore :-) I hope that means it is working!
We are working with Kuriyama 兄弟 and he seems to be doing well,
hopefully we can get him baptized this month!we went out to eat sushi
win him and the sisters.
This is him and my goofy companion.

And this is a crepe with shrimp and rice inside, topped with mayonnaise and fish eggs, it actually wasn't too bad!

We had a summer festival on Saturday, during which I was able to see Meet the Mormons for the first time. That was cool! We also ate squid and mochi, and dressed in kimono's.
This was a pop drinking contest:)

It was a good week. I went to the mission home on Monday to receive a training on training. Elder Stennett is on the phone right now with the Assistants...
Oh, my new companion is named Bergner  straight from the MTC.
It will be a good week! I am looking forward to it!
My love to all!

Please send my regards to the Silkwood family. Maybe you could tell
them thank you through the Hunters. Gavin is good friends with her son
Jake. I am sure they are hurting right now. I will be praying that
missionaries better than me will be sent to her, to teach her the
restored gospel of Jesus Christ. She will one day have a body that
will no longer be corrupted. She can find rest. I will see her again.
She was so kind to me. I will always remember her. One time she put
chocolate on my desk when she saw that I was having a stressful day.
One time when I was upset and hurt because of things that were said,
she shared her own very personal experiences with me, and in that way
let me know she loved me and cared for me. every time I got a good
score on a paper in her class I knew I had done something worth being
proud of. I loved to please her. She was kind to me even when my
opinions were sharp or unpolished, and smiled when I did. She looked
forward to seeing her students come and visit her on homecoming or
prom. I loved her, and will miss her. I was looking forward so much to
just going back to her classroom and talking just a little bit with
her. Send my best to her family.

I love these people!

Thanks for writing me an email. I thought I was only going to get one email from Bryan! This week was fun, we did a lot of good work and talked to a lot of people. This morning when I thought about it, I really felt blessed that I can talk about the gospel to everyone I meet.
On Friday we went to Yahata and did a companion split with the elders there. We worked really hard and came home very tired. I love doing companion splits! While we were there, we talked to some very interesting people. One man is currently not active at church but was willing to set up a return appointment with the elders who live in Yahata. The other was a man who wants to be baptized and is working on overcoming the obstacles in his way. It was a very good time and I was able to think about why I am on a mission a little bit. It was a time for me to refine my focus and commit to working with more energy and more focus on the work of salvation. The time that I have to do this work win all that I have (all of my time and in everything that I do) is very short. I want to do just a little better every day I am alive I think!
Yesterday's fast was good as well. By he end I think I was loosing focus on Gods purpose and started to get irritable, but I recognized it, and tried my best to fix that bad attitude, and my good companion isn't holding it against me, so I was able to have a good experience. I was able to change a little bit more and really pray for my district, and the people we are helping here.
That was also reflected in one of the sacrament meeting testimonies that I heard yesterday. A sister Tanaka gave a testimony on focusing on others and caring about them more than yourself. I am so grateful for the members here who are so strong in their own wonderful ways. Their commitment to do what is right and to follow the Savior is amazing. I truly want a heart a little more like a 日本人. How could I leave these people!? I am so sad to think that I will need to leave all these who I love so much. Someday I suppose we will all be together again and will "enjoy the same association that we do now", in a much grander way. I hope that means that we will meet our friends and those we have grown to love in his life as well as it means family.
I am grateful to serve a mission and for the redeeming love and sacrifice of the Savior.
With love,
Elder Bevan
