Zone training

Sorry! I should have given more time for me to write this email, but I
will do my best. This week was awesome! We had ZTM here in Nagasaki,
and that went very well. We talked about faith quite a bit and had a
member share her experiences from her mission and it helped us a lot.
I hope it helped the other members of the zone too.
Yesterday we found three new investigators and had two random lessons,
it was awesome! Elder Clinger works very hard and he is a good
companion. It is days like these that make missionary work worth it. I
felt like heavenly father knew me and he was blessing me. Also, a man
came to the church yesterday who we had met about a month or two ago.
He had a painting of me!

The New Transfer!

This week was great, my new companion came! His name is Elder Clinger.
He is just about as tall as I am and a whole lot more buff. He is a
ninth-transfer missionary. He grew up on a small farm in Utah, and we
all make fun of him because he grew up on a dairy farm.
This week started off great! We had an open house for the church on
Saturday, and had at least 12 nonmembers show up. There were at least
three families (or at least mothers with children), there were not a
lot of members, so the member to nonmember ratio was great! We made
ice cream and give tours of the church. The branch president got a lot
of pictures but I still don't have them so maybe next week. Anyways,
it was a lot of fun and I'm glad we did it. We are still working on
finding new investigators. As Zone leaders we need to plan for this
transfer and how we are going to help our zone. We have to spend a lot
of time inside and neither of us like it. But, I guess it has to be
done :-(

Transferring back to Nagasaki!

Mom, I love you.

Today is pday because this is transfers week. I got my call from Gustafson Kaicho and found out that I will be going to Nagasaki !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nagasaki is my bean area! I am way excited! I will be a new zone leader with my new companion Elder Merril. I have heard a lot of good about him, and everyone says he is a great missionary. I will, I think, be in the same area that I was when I was a bean, and I will be able to talk to the people that I worked with before, and hopefully with my converts too. From what I have heard they are struggling a bit. I am excited also to be able to work really hard.
I love going on junki's (splits) because I always get to work really hard and always feel good about the work that I do, and now I will be able to do that quite a bit!
If there is anything that I have learned over the past year, it is that I am not good enough for the job. I have so many weaknesses and so many faults I have no way to say I can do it. I will need to rely on the Savior, who made Ammon great, and David strong. I will need to rely on Him, and know that if I do His work He will be with me.

Sorry that is all for today! I will try and do better next week. Thanks!
With love, Elder Bevan
